How your support helps

We can only be here for every dog and cat with your support. 1 in 10 pet owners may have to give up their pet this winter due to the rising cost of living, but we’re here to give love and expert care to every dog and cat who needs it. By donating today, you will be supporting animals like Scratch, Skye and Olly, who had nowhere else to go when they were found alone in the cold.

Scratch and Skye’s story

Scratch and Skye were found abandoned in a box, cold and alone. The tiny spaniel puppies had stunted growth and were suffering from scabies, a painful skin condition which often leads to open sores, scabs, and hair loss. Our expert veterinary team quickly leapt to action to treat the poorly puppies, shaving their matted fur and giving them soothing medicated baths to treat their skin. After a month of treatment, love and care, Scratch and Skye found loving new homes to call their own.

Olly's Story

A concerned member of the public brought Olly into Battersea when she found him unable to walk, with chemical burns all down his legs and tail. He was admitted to our clinic straight away. The team took great care of him, treating his burns several times a day as well as using laser therapy to help with the healing process. The tip of Olly's tail was the only part that wasn't healing well, so our vets decided that the best outcome would be to amputate. Olly recovered excellently from the amputation. This purring, happy boy has since been rehomed and is getting ready to enjoy his first Christmas safe, warm and very loved.
